Great travel doesn't happen by accident. It happens by design. At Outward Travel, we have a process that moves you seamlessly from a vague idea to a fully realized journey. We view this as a partnership: we handle the complex logistics and heavy lifting, while you provide the inspiration and feedback. Together, we replace the stress of "planning" with the joy of "anticipation."

Discovery

We Start With "Why"

Every great trip begins with a conversation. We don't just ask where you want to go; we ask how you want to feel, and we want to know what you're passionate about. We schedule a complimentary discovery call to dig deep into your travel style. This call takes about 30 minutes, and you can schedule it at a time that works best for you. We do like to do these as a video call, because seeing each other is a great way to get to know each other. But if you're nearby we are also happy to meet you anywhere, from a coffee shop to your kitchen table; we can also just do a good ol' fashioned phone call.

Curation

Designing Your Blueprint

This is where our expertise shines. We research hidden gems, reach out to General Managers at luxury properties, and leverage our global network. We don't rely on cookie-cutter packages. Whether we are building a custom journey from the ground up or tailoring a proven itinerary to your specific needs, the result is a trip that fits you perfectly. We aim to get you a proposal within a week of our discovery call, though sometimes we need to reach out to our international partners to really design something great, and with timezone differences that can cause a little delay. But soon you'll have an idea or two of what your perfect vacation will look like.

Confirmation

Locking It In

Once you love the plan, we move to secure it. We facilitate the booking process, managing payment plans and ensuring your payments go directly to the providers. At this stage, we collect necessary personal details (passport info, etc.), storing everything in our encrypted, secure systems to protect your privacy. We'll also have some documents for you to digitally sign that include all the terms and conditions for the travel providers and our agency.

Your initial Confirmation Booklet will include any important tasks you need to complete, such as getting or renewing your passport, securing visas, or if you need a particular vaccination. We'll make sure you know exactly what you need to do and how to do it, and never hesitate to ask us questions along the way!

If you have a payment plan for your trip, we'll remind you when it's time to make a payment and facilitate that for you. You can always switch credit cards, change payment amounts, and adjust the schedule to suit your needs as long as payments are completed by the Final Due Date.

Departure

The Journey Begins

As your trip approaches, we shift into operational mode. Three to four weeks before departure (when most providers send us their documents), we update and send you the final confirmation booklet. You will receive a comprehensive PDF booklet containing your daily itinerary, tickets, vouchers, and essential destination advice—like local tipping culture and which power adapters to pack.

Behind the scenes, we utilize professional monitoring tools to keep an eye on weather, civil, and governmental situations at your destination, allowing us to proactively adjust plans if the unexpected occurs.

Debrief

Welcome Home

The journey doesn't end when you land. After you've unpacked, we'll follow up to hear all about it. We want to know what you loved, what surprised you, and even what didn't go exactly as expected.
